Around Madrid we suggest to visit Monasterio del Paular, el Castillo de Buitrago de Lozoya, Monasterio de El Escorial, the university in Alcalá og Hospital de Ciempozuelos.
Visit also Mejorada del Campo and Catedral de Don Justo.
In the southern area of Madrid, lies Spain´s dictator Francisco Franco, buried in Valle de los Caldos. He is buried together with the victims og the civil war, at the end of that he won the power.
In the southern area you can find also the wine districts and shops.
If you visit Madrid in winter, you can also enjoy a ski holiday on the mountains in the northern part of the town: La Pinilla, Valdesquí og Parque de nieve Xanadú.
